About the Role

A senior mechanical engineer with a strong background in mining and mechanical engineering is required to support our client's mining and metals projects.

  • Lead the design, modification, and evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Support cost estimates, field investigations, and client discussions.
  • Prepare designs, drawings, reports, and proposals.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Provide technical input during equipment procurement.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers as needed.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and 8-10 years' experience in mining/mechanical engineering. Strong knowledge of mechanical design, systems, and materials handling equipment is essential.

Key Requirements

  • 8-10 years' experience in mining/mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, systems, and materials handling equipment.
  • Experience with copper projects and slurry pumping systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD (2D/3D) design tools.
  • Understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bonus: experience in hydrogen liquefaction or ammonia production.
