Role SummaryThe Mechanical and Piping Lead oversees the design, compliance, and delivery of mechanical and piping systems for tailings infrastructure in a large-scale mining project.
The role ensures technical integrity, supports contract and cost evaluations, manages engineering resources, and facilitates coordination across stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure design compliance with project and regulatory standards.Review and approve engineering deliverables and plans.Support contract scope development and technical evaluations.Monitor progress, cost, and change control.Facilitate communication between stakeholders and suppliers.Promote safety and technical excellence.Oversee audits and hazard reviews.RequirementsEngineering Degree in Mechanical or related discipline.Extensive experience in piping and mechanical systems, preferably in mining or heavy industry.Strong understanding of design standards, HSE regulations , and project execution.Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex engineering packages.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
