About the Role


The Client Director at Wavemaker is responsible for driving and leading a successful client relationship, developing strong communication recommendations across all channels, paid, owned, and earned.


This key role involves bringing together the right people to deliver the highest quality of outputs for clients, ensuring deliverables are grounded in client priorities.


Key Requirements



  • Proven capability in managing others and highly collaborative
  • Passion for media and marketing
  • Up-to-date, media landscape knowledge, confidently able to articulate macroeconomic and consumer trends and forecast challenges/opportunities for clients
  • Excellent communicator with clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the patience to examine detail and create solutions
  • Results-driven, passionate about delivering business results for clients, with the ability to identify and clearly articulate what's working and why

What Success Looks Like



  • In 3 months: established collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders and internal reports, strong understanding of the agency and group proposition, core client processes, and our way of working
  • In 6 months: demonstrated ability to deliver on all aspects of the role in an efficient, effective, and proactive way, strengthened key stakeholder relationships to deliver great team work consistently
  • In 12 months: taking on greater ownership of the role – responsibility and volume, building strong relationships with clients, representing the Wavemaker team appropriately, and ensuring campaigns are delivered to the highest quality
