About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sessional Interpreter to join our team in South Western Sydney. As a Sessional Interpreter, you will work with a wide range of healthcare providers, providing interpreting services in medical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide interpreting services in medical settings, including public hospitals and community health facilities.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure accurate communication and high-quality care.
  • Identify and convey social and cultural factors in healthcare situations.
  • Manage time effectively and perform well under pressure.
  • Comply with AUSIT Code of Ethics and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to interpret in medical settings.
  • Ability to identify and convey social and cultural factors in healthcare situations.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to identify ethical dilemmas and comply with AUSIT Code of Ethics.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrated experience or willingness to undertake telephone and video interpreting.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
