Junior Sous Chef Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef to help co-lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional dishes for fine dining on a Full-Time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of culinary professionals and contribute to the success of our luxury restaurant.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and presentation, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Atria Sous Chef in overseeing the kitchen's daily operations
  • Managing, training, and guiding a large and diverse team of cooks and chefs
  • Upholding rigorous food safety, allergen management, and hygiene standards
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with culinary teams to deliver flawless guest experiences
  • Maintaining inventory and supporting cost control initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 6 years post-apprentice experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety procedures
  • Experience working with open fire cooking and high-volume production
