Emergency Trauma Care Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Trauma Care Professional to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a vital role in attending Level 1 and 2 trauma call-outs, contributing to trauma assessment and patient care. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in the trauma booklet, collecting pre-hospital data and recording information for the National Trauma Registry, performing primary, secondary, and tertiary surveys on trauma patients, and developing vital trauma skills such as tube thoracostomies, splinting fractures, and wound washouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency trauma care to patients
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, registrable with the relevant medical board
  • Clinical experience in trauma, particularly at a Senior RMO or Registrar level
  • Strong clinical skills in trauma care, with ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Proven experience in supervising medical staff and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Comprehensive understanding of trauma management, quality improvement, and commitment to patient rights and responsibilities
