Information Technology Governance Lead

Mozaic has been engaged by one of our long-standing clients, a recognised leader in the financial services arena, to provide services for an IT Governance capability. The role will involve taking on known accountabilities across the IT Governance function and assimilating into the wider IT strategy and ITOM.

The brief will be to develop and refine the operational model as requirements are better understood. This assignment will require a high degree of professional autonomy, excellent consulting & leadership skills to influence across the organisation, and the ability to lead the planning, designing, implementing, and maintenance of IT governance initiatives.

  • Accountable for the IT Governance framework; elements of the ITOM relating to IT Governance & Controls.
  • Lead the planning, designing, implementing, and maintenance of IT governance initiatives and their supporting elements.
  • Establish and manage a framework for quality assurance, ensuring compliance of IT practices, solutions, and services to international standards and company policies.
  • Participate in company compliance requirements management, such as data privacy laws, model audit rules, and industry certifications to ensure proper internal controls.
  • Define and maintain the performance management framework for IT processes, roles, and functions.
  • Facilitate the completion of broader Enterprise risk assessments between the IT function, Risk and Compliance, and Senior Management.
  • IT Governance & Controls. Knowledge of IT governance, risk, and compliance tools and technologies.
  • Security. Knowledge of network security, enterprise security, cloud security, and database security principles.
  • Frameworks. Understanding of governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Ideally upwards of 15 years professional IT experience, with 10+ years in IT leadership roles.
  • Extensive Australian financial services industry experience highly desirable.
