Job Title: Senior Governance Professional

Role Overview

This is a 12-month contract position within the Remediation Program Governance team, collaborating with stakeholders across the group to facilitate and support milestone closure and assurance activities on broad-ranging and comprehensive programs of work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the milestone closure and assurance schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Facilitate the development of the Independent Assurer's focus areas, providing guidance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with project managers on milestone closure artefacts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage the approval process for milestone closure, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews and reporting processes, summarizing key findings and recommendations.

You will work with subject matter experts on group-wide remediation initiatives and contribute to monthly reports for senior stakeholders and governance committees. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

About the Position

This role requires 3+ years' experience in a professional services firm or financial institution in controls assurance or internal audit, with a proficient understanding of internal control frameworks and experience in assessing control design and effectiveness.

  • Experience managing changes/change control over key project artefacts, ensuring compliance and adherence to established standards.
  • Ability to provide guidance and practical recommendations to improve control evidence quality and address control gaps, enhancing overall organisational resilience.
