Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale programs, working closely with the Assistant Program Manager and Program Manager in the Transformation Office. You will collaborate within a hybrid team of APS staff and contractors, fostering an agile and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor program progress, adjust schedules, and ensure alignment with program scope and objectives.
  • Analyse critical paths, mitigate potential risks, and prepare alternate plans in response to any program delays.
  • Liaise with project staff and provide senior management with briefings on any significant impact to program goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support seamless program delivery.
  • Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior officials, ensuring compliance with standards and accuracy.
  • Regularly update management on program status, highlighting any deviations and actions recommended.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager.
  • Previous experience managing a range of business-based projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Can demonstrate experience working in Agile projects.
  • Experience in managing plans, timelines, budgets, and resources in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Skilled in managing project risks, issues, and dependencies with a strategic approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Superior communication skills to present complex information clearly.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum
