About the Role

As a Virtual Health Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in providing health-related advice to Australians through the Healthdirect Helpline.

You will be responsible for guiding callers who are unsure about their healthcare needs. The Healthdirect Helpline operates 24/7, offering health information and support over the phone.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and reliable health information to callers.
  • Conducting comprehensive telephone assessments to identify caller's health concerns.
  • Recommending the most appropriate course of action for each caller.

What You'll Need

To excel in this role, you'll require:

  • Unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse for at least 3 years.
  • At least 3 years of full-time clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
  • A diverse nursing background involving significant interaction with the public.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills to handle high-pressure situations across all age groups and clinical presentations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with compassion and professionalism.
