Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced engineering leader to drive forward the development of our global infrastructure platform. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in enabling our business to achieve a best-in-class price/performance ratio, globally and at scale.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and owning the technical roadmaps for large cross-cutting efforts that span our Core Infrastructure organization, with Stripe-wide impact.

In this role, you will establish project ownership and contribute to prioritization and execution, driving forward progress across multiple organizations. You will also own and drive cross-functional partnerships with teams spanning Infrastructure, Service Platform, Developer Experience, Data Platform, Product Engineering, Finance, Risk, Operations, and GTM.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Define and own the technical roadmaps for large cross-cutting efforts that span our Core Infrastructure organization, with Stripe-wide impact.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Own and drive cross-functional partnerships with teams spanning Infrastructure, Service Platform, Developer Experience, Data Platform, Product Engineering, Finance, Risk, Operations, and GTM.
  • Project Ownership: Establish project ownership and contribute to prioritization and execution, driving forward progress across multiple organizations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience OR equivalent combined work experience reflecting domain expertise relevant to this position.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading company-wide initiatives spanning hundreds of engineers across multiple teams and organizations while leveraging deep domain expertise to influence technical roadmaps, planning, and execution.
