Availability Engineer Position
We are seeking a seasoned engineer to ensure the reliability and availability of our global infrastructure.
You will work closely with our AWS Infrastructure Services team to design, plan, deliver, and operate all global infrastructure. You will support data centers and servers, ensuring continual customer access to innovation through:
- Incident management processes;
- 48-hour report contribution;
- Implementation using root cause analysis;
- Reviewing and inspecting incident reports;
- Leading discussions for corrective actions related to site/equipment failures;
- Contributing to regular Colocation availability reporting;
- Defining corrective action plans through strategic workflows development and mentoring of regional teams;
- Providing technical direction for the SPOF program, including availability strategies, approval of remediation designs, and global risk reduction library.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability and availability of our global infrastructure;
- Support data centers and servers;
- Develop risk mitigation strategies;
- Contribute to regular Colocation availability reporting;
- Define corrective action plans;
- Provide technical direction for the SPOF program.
