Safety Expert

This role focuses on developing and implementing effective health and safety procedures across the workplace.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust health and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and conduct thorough analyses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate regular health and safety meetings to foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
  • Deliver comprehensive inductions, training sessions, and workshops to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety data, policies, and compliance systems to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on incidents and safety performance for senior management review.
  • Coordinate Return to Work (RTW) processes in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in WHS legislation, workers' compensation frameworks, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and maintaining safety policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of RTW programs and experience in supporting injured employees.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar health and safety role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident reporting systems.
