About the Role

This opportunity focuses on promoting lasting change and reuniting children with their families through culturally safe, trauma-responsive, and therapeutic practices.

You will:

  • Develop and implement culturally responsive service delivery approaches, prioritizing First Nations and CALD families.
  • Apply strengths-based interventions to promote child safety, wellbeing, and family reunification.
  • Foster strong relationships across services and facilitate effective collaborations to provide comprehensive care for families.
  • Create practical, goal-oriented case plans and assessments that support long-term reunification.
Your Experience and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A thorough understanding of South Australian child protection legislation, including the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle.
  • Demonstrated capability in case management, including collaborative assessment, planning, and documentation.
