Medical Office Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at MBC Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and providing administrative support in a busy medical office setting.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient enquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient enquiries.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments; send reminders.
- Administrative Support: Maintain patient records, process forms, and assist with filing, faxing, and billing tasks.
- Insurance and Billing: Verify insurance, collect payments, and assist with billing enquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure patient privacy and follow HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical office experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and Best Practice software is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Honesty and reliability are essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Reference checks.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
- Rights to Work in Australia.
- All candidates are required to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
