About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mining Project Manager to join our client's sustaining capital project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and sustaining maintenance works, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a sound rationale for various projects and sustaining maintenance activities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and sustaining maintenance works throughout their full lifespan
  • Liaise closely with on-site operational teams, subject matter experts, and contractors for the studies, scoping, and execution of projects
  • Develop and implement project business cases and scopes
  • Manage project controls, including estimating, scheduling, and cost control
  • Ensure quality project outcomes and adherence to project management best practices
Requirements
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience delivering greenfield and brownfield projects in an open pit mining environment
  • Experience working in project development or studies, with demonstrated experience achieving quality project outcomes
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical or civil engineering is highly desirable
