Therapeutic Day Rehab Counsellor

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading an intensive Addiction Other Drugs program. This role involves working with individuals who are experiencing substance use and require a comprehensive support system to overcome their addiction. You will provide interventions using individual and group-based approaches to facilitate change, improved mental health, recovery, and wellbeing.


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Therapeutic Day Rehab Counsellor to join our dynamic team at Latrobe Community Health Service. If you have a strong background in Counselling or Social Work and are committed to providing high-quality care to clients, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead an intensive AOD program for individuals experiencing substance use
  • To provide interventions using individual and group-based approaches to facilitate change, improved mental health, recovery, and wellbeing
  • To work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for clients
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • An undergraduate degree (or near completion) in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare & Counselling, Social Sciences, or other Health-related degrees
  • Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment
  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD), or willingness to complete within 12 months
