We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced candidate to join our Purchasing team at our Melbourne head office. The company values employee contributions and fosters a culture of creativity, providing an exciting platform for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a crucial member of the purchasing/management team
  • Reduce procurement costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies on a national and global scale
  • Oversee warehouse logistics and stock management
  • Enhance existing purchasing channels and processes
Responsibilities
  • Costing/purchasing of ships' parts, services and other needs
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and adherence to delivery schedules
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers through various communication channels
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal prices and terms
  • Identify new suppliers and develop relationships with them
  • Implement inventory control and conduct regular stock takes
  • Process claims to/from suppliers, including returns and refunds
  • Authorize suppliers' invoices after goods receipt and invoicing matching
  • Monitor and update data in the company's purchasing system
  • Provide daily and weekly reports and general administration support
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-year experience in an office environment, preferably relevant to purchasing
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel)
  • Ability to speak a second language highly regarded
