Purchasing Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement process.

From sourcing essential supplies to managing vendor relationships and budgets, you'll be at the heart of our purchasing operations making sure everything runs seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Source and purchase essential supplies for operational services and office stock, build strong vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Inventory & Budget Control: Monitor stock levels, track inventory across locations, and manage budgets to optimise costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate purchasing records, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide reports to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education & Experience: High school diploma required; a qualification in business, procurement, or supply chain management is preferred. Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, ideally in education, childcare, or office environments.
  • Technical & Business Skills: Strong understanding of budget management, cost control, and vendor purchasing techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage procurement for both operational services and office stock.
  • Organisational & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
