Are you a skilled procurement professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our team in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will play a key role in reducing procurement costs, updating pricing strategies, and leading warehouse logistics and stock management. You will be responsible for costing, purchasing of ships' parts, services, and other needs, ensuring timely delivery, liaising with customers and suppliers, negotiation, identification of new suppliers, inventory control, and processing claims.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent written and spoken English skills, intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, and the ability to speak a second language. If you are self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to take initiative in job reporting, we want to hear from you.
Job Requirements- Minimum 2 years experience in an office environment preferably relevant to purchasing;
- Excellent written and spoken English skills;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (e.g. Word, Excel etc…);
- Ability to speak a second language highly regarded.
- Can do spirit;
- Self-motivated;
- Result oriented attitude;
- Treat your job with respect;
- Take initiative in job reporting;
- Take initiative asking any questions when in doubt;
- Take initiative in communication both internally and externally.
