About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Technology Centre in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre and associated business within Canon Business Services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Management: Develop and implement strategies to ensure the operational centre service meets contractual and service level agreements.
  • Team Leadership: Provide management and direction to the team, promoting a culture of reward, recognition, and feedback.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Recruit and retain a strong team, ensuring direct reports understand their role expectations.
  • Productivity Management: Manage daily productivity across the site through real-time, daily, and monthly reporting tools.
  • Financial Management: Ensure client revenue and other financial budgets are met and monitored on a monthly basis.
  • Process Improvement: Identify trends and develop and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the Technology Centre.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop an understanding of the client's business and form relationships to generate additional revenue.
  • Business Development: Assist Sales and Marketing to identify, investigate, and scope service extension opportunities and additional work requests to achieve growth objectives.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that Canon Business Services' Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed throughout the Technology Centre.
Key Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Strong people management skills, including building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Operational Experience: Experience in leading a high-performing operational team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Six Sigma/LEAN qualification desirable.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost reporting.
