This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale technology project, shaping the future of sustainability with world-changing innovations and low-carbon technologies.
We are seeking a skilled Automation Control Systems Specialist to join our team and be part of the Alumina Refining PLC Obsolescence Project. In this role, you will play a key role in managing automation inventory, including decommissioned PLC hardware, and overseeing on-site automation support personnel.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing automation inventory, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards;
- Overseeing on-site automation support personnel, providing guidance and expertise as needed;
- Project governance, ensuring that the modernisation project stays on schedule and within budget;
- Quality assurance of the PLC engineering solution provider, ensuring that all systems meet the required standards;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering;
- Extensive experience with Allen Bradley's PLC and familiarity with modern day Fibre-Ethernet networks such as Ethernet/IP;
- Hands-on experience with PLC system design and development;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
