About the Role

This is an exciting new development opportunity to lead automation initiatives in a high-performing team.

  • Manage PLC hardware, including decommissioned equipment.
  • Develop and implement automation technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee on-site automation support personnel.
  • Contract manage suppliers related to PLC modernization, technical support, and parts management.
  • Be a subject matter expert for technical queries.
  • Ensure cybersecurity and risk management compliance for PLC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wet commissioning: Test and bring PLC systems online into production.
  • Maintenance and operational readiness: Develop asset records, BOMs, and site repository management.
  • Project governance: Ensure modernization projects are on schedule.
  • Quality assurance of engineering solutions and standardization of equipment.
  • Training development: Work with training departments to develop packages for new and legacy PLC systems.
  • Develop and agree sustaining requirements after project completion.
  • Design PLC system hardware and network architecture modernization.
  • Develop scope of work for PLC modernization and shutdown planning.
  • Create or amend PLC system drawings.
  • Assist in installation and wet commissioning of PLC systems.
  • Configure network hardware IP addresses (collaborate with IT teams).

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley's PLC.
  • Familiarity with modern Ethernet networks.
  • Capital project execution experience is desirable.
