About the Role:

As a Parkes Assistant Site Manager, you will report directly to the Site Manager and work closely with a team of permanent Grain Handlers. Together, you will deliver a safe and effective service for the reception, storage, and outloading of grain via road and rail.

  • You will coordinate day-to-day workflow and provide support in attracting, selecting, training, and developing both permanent and casual team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support resource planning for grain receival/outload activity during peak and off-peak periods.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety, and quality activities along with related reporting.
  • Supervise a large seasonal workforce during our busy harvest intake periods, including operations at multiple sites.

About Your Experience:

We are seeking an individual with plant operations experience from any industry, possessing a strong safety mindset and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the agricommodities sector.

  • A proven track record in supervising teams or potential to do so.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and IT literacy.
  • The capability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
