About this role:
The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist will be part of a multifaceted team working to achieve departmental and business objectives safely and efficiently.
This position requires a commitment to supporting the wellbeing of yourself and your team, confidence in mentoring safety-related issues, and the ability to coach and prevent harm.
You will be responsible for executing activities across shifts and departments to add value and improve efficiencies.
Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise within the maintenance team, facilitating preventative and reactive maintenance activities, fostering collaborative relationships, and demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
You will also identify and communicate improvements to procedures, processes, or plant and participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting of plant issues.
Furthermore, you will provide technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the role and support the Management of Change process to all plant modifications executed by the maintenance team.
You will scope and execute planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance activities, comply with standards and procedures designed to enable safe and effective work, and perform and develop BOS routines to implement a safe working environment.
In addition, you will work with other departments and customers to develop and execute the weekly and daily Production Schedule to ensure optimisation of daily opportunities.
You will lead large planned shutdown outages, providing high-level in-field leadership, ensuring teams and contract partners have the support to safely execute planned tasks to a high standard.
