This business unit is responsible for facilitating and managing essential infrastructure, maintenance, and capital works projects that underpin the University's operations and growth.

A key responsibility of this portfolio is the delivery of the University's Campus Development Plan, which is critical to ensuring the campus evolves in line with strategic priorities, supports innovation, and meets the needs of students, staff, and the broader community.

Job Description

The Associate Director Capital Delivery is a pivotal leadership role within the Capital Development Team. The position is responsible for the overall management, procurement, and successful delivery of capital works of varied complexity from concept to delivery and closeout to align with the University's strategic goals.

This includes the development of design briefs and business cases in line with the University's governance requirements. The position offers an exciting opportunity for a visionary and driven leader to contribute to the delivery of the University's Campus Development Plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in construction, management, engineering, project management, urban design, business, or other relevant discipline
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex capital projects and programs of works from inception to completion
  • Extensive experience in strategic procurement, planning, preparation, and negotiation of consultancy and construction contracts
  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive management style, capable of motivating teams
