Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Wagga Wagga. As a key member of our Buildings Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality projects from conception to final design and construction surveillance.

Your primary responsibilities will include structural design of buildings, project management, and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will work collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services, and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural Design: Responsible for the structural design of buildings, including inspections, assessments, and reporting.
  • Project Management: Manage and lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
  • An ability to mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support.
