Job Description

Geotechnical Scientist

As a Geotechnical Scientist, you will conduct investigations and analyses related to pavements, geotechnical, and materials for infrastructure projects. You will provide technical services and advice, participate in multi-function teams, and manage geotechnical risk by developing standards and practices.

This role requires adaptability across multiple work streams and project needs. You must be able to plan and lead geotechnical investigations in various conditions and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Geology or in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or a related discipline.
  • Substantial working experience with pavements and geotechnical/site investigations for infrastructure projects, particularly in pavement rehabilitation.
  • The ability to prepare detailed geotechnical reports, slope risk assessments/remediations, and effectively manage technical risk, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry standards.

About You

You hold a tertiary qualification in Geology or in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or a related discipline and have substantial working experience with pavements and geotechnical/site investigations for infrastructure projects. You excel in preparing detailed geotechnical reports, slope risk assessments/remediations, providing specialist advice, and effectively managing technical risk.
