Job Title: Senior Participation Advisor

About the Team:

The Participation Growth team plays a critical role in leading and enabling sport to thrive. We are dedicated to building capability across the sector, promoting inclusive and diverse sporting environments and partnering with sport to create high quality experiences for all Australians.

About the Role:

This senior position will lead engagement and investment with National Sport Organisations (NSO) and National Sport Organisations for People with Disability (NSOD), working on strategic, nationally aligned sport participation projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the effective use of funding allocations to NSOs and NSODs.
  • Support NSOs and NSODs to develop National Play Well Participation Plans in collaboration with Member Organisations.
  • Develop and implement innovative products, plans and resources that deliver effective participation outcomes and high quality sport experiences for all.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated senior experience in sport, government or a related field.
  • Experience in creating and managing participation related programs, plans and products.
  • Experience in community sport infrastructure.
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management and project development skills.
  • Ability to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform decision making.
