We are seeking a visionary Sports Development Manager to drive the success of our state-wide sports competitions and participation programs.

This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of sport, grow participation across NSW, and ensure sport remains a key driver of youth engagement and social impact.

  • Lead the development and delivery of sport competitions and learn-to-play programs across 66 PCYC Clubs, ensuring high-quality, inclusive sporting experiences for young people.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive participation growth, member retention, and financial performance across the sports portfolio.
  • Oversee the implementation of consistent, high-quality sports competitions and activities across PCYC Clubs, including program planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.

A key requirement of this role is demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of social sports competitions in a multisite capacity—including scheduling, team and participant coordination, competition rules and regulations, and fostering positive participant experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue opportunities, local marketing needs, and operational efficiencies while working closely with internal teams to recruit, support, and upskill staff involved in sports delivery.

  • Develop tools, templates, and best practice guides to streamline club-based program delivery, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on participation trends and program performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous growth.
  • Build relationships with State Sporting Organisations, suppliers, partners, and community stakeholders to promote the organisation's mission and values.
  • Contribute to child safety, workplace safety, and organisational compliance, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
