Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of a range of specialist mining equipment.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical trade qualifications and experience with surface drills.
  • You will be required to travel extensively throughout the region, working independently and as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintenance and repair of mining equipment including but not limited to; Surface Drills (Boom and Rotary), Hydraulic repair and troubleshooting, Electrical repair and troubleshooting, OEM training and support.
  • Performing routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mechanical trade qualifications and experience with surface drills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • A valid driver's license is also a requirement.
