Material Handling Specialist

Your role will play a significant part in our company's growth and overall success by delivering quality service to customers while performing scheduled maintenance and safety & function checks.

We are looking for mechanically minded individuals who can help us build positive customer experiences.

  • Servicing and repair of material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base – Help Crown build positive customer experiences
  • Latest field-based mobile technology to assist you to manage your daily work schedule
  • Inventory input on your Company allocated service van & customer sites - Deliver a professional level of service
  • Gaining experience in dealing with top-tiered customer base
  • Perform routine maintenance & complete service work – Reactive & Planned
  • Accurately maintaining important service records of work performed by you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct customer-focused scheduled and 'breakdown' services
  • Assist in the preparation of field-based quotes for customers through the completion of jobs
  • Record notes and file service records appropriately – be a part of the service team and provide high-level customer service to help our customers solve their material handling needs
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, including emerging technologies in automation and telematics
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, new products, and services
  • Partner with the organization and maximise additional sales and service across a dedicated customer base
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician highly regarded but not essential
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
