The successful candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives that support the educational outcomes of students, encouraging engagement both in the classroom and with their learning.

About the Role

This leadership position focuses on developing and implementing strategies to enhance student engagement, academic achievement, and overall well-being.

  • Design and lead school-wide processes for managing learner behaviour and development, incorporating Restorative Practices, Reboot, and Positive Behaviour for Learning strategies.
  • Develop and oversee Tier 1 & 2 interventions, as well as provide guidance and support for Tier 3 initiatives, to ensure effective management of year-level cohorts.
  • Lead and mentor Year Level Coordinators to deliver policy-aligned and research-based student supports and interventions, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the Voice Coordinator to develop a quality Student Leadership program and mentoring/coaching initiatives, fostering student empowerment and voice.
  • Oversee the development of Pathways (the school's pastoral care program) curriculum, ensuring it aligns with student needs and promotes holistic growth.
  • Develop targeted support strategies for disengaged students, recognizing and addressing barriers to participation and success.
  • Co-lead priority group agendas, planning and delivering SLT/Faculty talks, staff workshops, and other targeted interventions to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
