Financial Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our team in Sydney. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial control and accounting services to our Affiliate fund managers and the Funds Management business.

You will assist in the management of the general ledger, ensuring the data supports all reporting and compliance requirements. This includes month-end processing, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, analytical review, and commentary.

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
  • Assistance with the preparation of statutory financial statements for Corporate and Affiliate entities.
  • Provision of information for tax return completion and other tax compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-end processing and general ledger close.
  • Preparation of audit files and liaison with auditors on audit queries.
  • Board papers preparation, including workpapers for audit and risk committees.
Requirements:
  • CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Experience within a financial accounting or financial control environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with financial accounting systems.
