Role OverviewUMENCO is seeking a Financial Accountant for an established Australian brand.
The Financial Accountant will be a detail-oriented and proactive talent whose role will include financial reporting and analysis within a dynamic and design-led environment.
The Financial Accountant will manage core financial operations and ensure the integrity of the financial reporting process.
Key responsibilities include month-end and year-end close, general ledger reconciliations, statutory reporting and contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
There will be collaboration across the financial, operations and retail teams to ensure compliance, accuracy and strategic insight that supports the brand's continued growth.
The ideal talent will have a degree in Accounting or finance and be CPA or CA qualified with at least three years of experience in a financial accounting role – ideally within the fashion, lifestyle or retail sector, along with a strong grasp of AASB/IFRS standards and regulatory obligations.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Xero, NewSuite or MYOB is essential, as are strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
