Senior Data Center IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center IT Support Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) group, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services.
Key Responsibilities- Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the data center and corporate teams.
- Ensure Secure Access Workstations: Ensure that all Secure Access Workstations (SAWs) are in a healthy state, meeting the required security compliance standards.
- Manage SAW Inventory: Manage the inventory of SAW devices, including ordering, receiving, assigning/re-assigning, and decommissioning devices.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Provide guidance to users on common SAW repair issues and escalate complex issues experienced by users.
- Perform Return Merchandise Authorization: Perform Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for SAWs damaged within the first 30 days of receipt.
- Provide Senior-Level Support: Provide Senior Data Center Technician-level support when needed, including performing power cycles, swap out failed components, handling storage media, and performing troubleshooting.
- Support DC Physical Infrastructure: Support the deployment of on-site DC physical infrastructure, including Servers, NetDevices, SANs, Windows Server OS Support, Parts/Component replacement, and physical hardware troubleshooting.
- Assist with Inventory and Asset Management: Assist the Data Center Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping/receiving and inventory management to address high work volumes as required.
