Job Title

The role of a HSE Advisor involves implementing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and meet the requirements of responsible care. This position requires expertise in maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

  • Facilitate the implementation of responsible care programs, including EHS standards, directives, and guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice, judgment, and analysis in regulatory compliance and due diligence programs.
  • Conduct workplace hazard identification, risk assessment, and control activities, offering innovative and entrepreneurial recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, external certification bodies, suppliers, contractors, and employees at all levels related to the Kwinana Plant.
  • Investigate all incidents and accidents, ensuring timely implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate early intervention, return-to-work, and rehabilitation measures for injured employees.
  • Audit EHS management systems internally based on responsible care, transport, and distribution safety process safety toll manufacturing, and security systems.
  • Provide coverage for other HSEQ team members during absences and be available for out-of-hours first response in case of incidents and accidents.
Requirements

This position requires a Certificate IV in Health and Safety, experience within a chemical manufacturing environment, and the ability to work autonomously. ISO9001 quality system and auditing training and experience are also desirable, along with detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
