Financial Leadership Director

The Australian Ballet is one of the world's leading national ballet companies and a globally recognised Australian performing arts organisation.
Each year the company presents upwards of 220 performances nationwide along with public programs, special events, an extensive regional tour, a children's ballet and education programs and regular overseas tours.
We have an annual turnover of more than $70 million and employ over 350 people.
Job DescriptionThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading and managing all finance, administration, information technology, facilities, and asset management functions for The Australian Ballet Group.
The position requires strategic analysis and advice to the Executive Director and the Board on both micro and macro trends affecting the organisation and how these impact performance, opportunities and risk.
You will provide effective leadership and management of all business operations and administrative functions including providing support to the Executive Director as it relates to those activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's strategic plan.
- Analyse data to inform ongoing management decision making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and maintain control systems to preserve company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide high-level analysis and advice on key organisational trends and their impact on performance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A blue chip and diverse career that includes deep experience at the CFO level ideally within investment management, property management, family office, performing arts or businesses with similar complexity and funding arrangements.
