Job Description
We are looking for someone who can bring together tradition and innovation in their approach to cooking. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for designing seasonal menus that blend refined technique with contemporary flair, incorporating the freshest ingredients and presenting dishes in a visually appealing way.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead from the front, cultivating a passionate and high-performing kitchen team
• Foster a culture of excellence, creativity and continuous improvement
• Design, cost and execute seasonal menus that reflect the soul of Japanese cuisine with a modern twist
• Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure every dish meets our brand's elevated identity and high standards

Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you will have:
• Proven experience in Japanese or Japanese-fusion cuisine
• A creative edge and strong business acumen
• Leadership style that inspires, coaches and drives success
• Experience as a senior chef in a restaurant-style offering in Australia or internationally
• Exceptional management skills and ability to lead, coach and mentor a high-performing team
• Hands-on approach and ability to strategically plan seasonal menu changes
• High-level communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers
• Positive and consultative approach to peers
• Ability to review operational performance and make improvements where necessary
• Complete understanding of regulatory compliance across food
