Job Title: Senior Information Management Officer

The City of Busselton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team as a Senior Information Management Officer. This is a permanent part-time position working 30.4 hours per week, ideally Monday to Thursday.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and maintenance of the City's information systems, including TechnologyOne and the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). You will lead and deliver information system projects, upgrades, and process improvements, maintaining system security and managing user permissions. Additionally, you will provide training, support, and guidance to staff on information and records management practices, supporting the development and implementation of the City's Recordkeeping Plan and PRIS compliance initiatives.

About the Role:

  • Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of information systems;
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain system security;
  • Provide technical support to users and assist in resolving issues;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business continuity plans;
  • Engage with staff to promote awareness and understanding of information management best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field;
  • 3-5 years' experience in IT project management or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of EDRMS principles and recordkeeping legislation;
  • Experience delivering system improvements and leading technical projects;
  • Proven team leadership and training capability;
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills;
  • Affinity with innovation and continuous improvement.
