
Workplace Safety Specialist

Safeguarding workplace well-being and promoting health across NSW is a key objective for regulatory bodies. As a vital member of the Operations Regional team, you will play a pivotal role in protecting workers through strategic stakeholder engagement, evidence-based prevention initiatives, and targeted responses to incidents and service requests.
Your Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections and investigations to enhance workplace safety outcomes
- Develop and deliver education programs for workers and employers to foster a culture of safety
- Respond promptly to serious workplace incidents as part of the emergency response service
- Provide expert guidance and advice to industry stakeholders on regulatory compliance
- Collaborate in project planning and development to minimize harm in workplaces and support regulatory priorities
- You will be confident in engaging with workplaces and stakeholders, skilled at communicating complex information, and able to balance capability building with compliance and enforcement
- You will possess a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, technical expertise, sound judgement, and resilience when responding to complex situations
