Job Overview:

  • The Assistant State Inspector, Operations North is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by improving workplace health and safety across NSW. As part of SafeWork NSW's Operations Regional directorate, you will work with industry, workers and the community to reduce harm and ensure compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting inspections and investigations to improve workplace outcomes
  • Delivering education programs for workplaces to promote safe practices
  • Responding to serious incidents as part of the emergency response service
  • Providing advice and guidance to industry stakeholders
  • Participating in projects to reduce harm in workplaces and support regulatory priorities

About You:

  • Confident in engaging with workplaces and stakeholders
  • Skilled at explaining complex information in clear terms
  • Able to balance capability building with compliance and enforcement in NSW workplaces
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments
  • Passionate about improving workplace health and safety through proactive programs
