Student Incident and Support Coordinator
Job DescriptionThe Student Incident and Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing expert advice, coordination, and resolution of complex student incidents that impact the university community. This includes incidents dealt with under the National Code for Gender-Based Violence, ECU's Fitness to Study Policies and Procedures, Complaints, Reports of Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment, student deaths, and global, national, local, or individual incidences that affect the wellbeing of students.
The coordinator will work as part of a broader Safer Communities team to coordinate case management processes and provide support to students navigating the general or academic misconduct procedures at the university. The successful candidate will demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the university's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Relevant qualifications in a field such as social work, counseling, or psychology would be highly regarded. Additionally, experience working in a higher education setting, particularly in student support services, would be beneficial.
BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive remuneration package, including a salary range of $104,030 to $116,563 per annum, plus a 17% University superannuation contribution.
