We are seeking a seasoned and skilled Estimator to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for working on numerous tenders in the civil sector valued between $1m-$20m.

The role involves contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects, including government projects, road works, streetscaping, landscaping, carparks, and general civil construction.

Candidates must possess strong communication skills as they will be part of the pre-construction team and will be involved in putting the tender together as well as participating in tender interviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working on tenders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Preparation and submission of tenders
  • Evaluation and review of the tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
  • Tender negotiations
  • Coordinate tender handover to project team
  • Prepare budgets based on tender submission
  • Assess and price contract variation orders
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • At least 3 years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
