Civil Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and tenders for civil projects in Australia.

  • Liaise with project managers, construction managers, and engineers to develop construction methodologies and non-price submission information.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects, compile accurate tenders within deadlines, and present for management review.
  • Develop draft construction programs in consultation with the in-house P6 planner;
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors;
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities, and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients to foster growth.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, engineering, construction, or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating civil construction and earthworks from first principles (3+ years);
  • Experience tendering government work for agencies such as TfNSW, WaterNSW, up to values of $100m - $200m;
  • Knowledge of concrete construction and remediation;
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 / Tier 2 construction contractor; (previous site experience 4-5 years)
  • An extensive network of contacts across Australia;
  • Experience with Expert Estimation estimating software package;
  • A proven record of success is essential.
