Job Opportunity
Monash University's Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking to appoint sessional teaching associates to join our team of practice educators.
About the Role
We are seeking registered occupational therapists as practice educators across a variety of fieldwork settings in which Monash University undergraduate and masters entry level occupational therapy students undertake professional practice placements and simulated placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy placement-based education to students
- Facilitate learning and development of students in fieldwork settings
- Work with students to develop their professional practice skills
- Contribute to the development of educational resources and programs
Requirements
Registered occupational therapists with a minimum of two years professional practice experience since graduation are required. Prior experience of providing occupational therapy placement-based education is desirable.
Working Conditions
Practice educators are part-time, with flexible schedules depending on the type and duration of student placements. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required. Depending on the nature of the placement sites, a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check) may also be required.
