EPEC Group seeks a highly skilled Principal Power Systems Engineer to drive technical excellence across various power system studies using tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim.

  • You will bring your expertise in end-to-end grid connection processes, guiding the technical delivery of complex studies and ensuring seamless integration with the grid.
  • Your experience with generator performance standards and a deep understanding of Schedule 5 of the NER will be key to your success.
About the Role

In this pivotal position, you'll lead innovative design and engineering solutions, oversee project controls and subcontractor management, and conduct site inspections to deliver cost-effective outcomes.

  • As a seasoned professional, you'll have a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire teams and drive great results.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia and RPEQ registration are highly regarded, but we also welcome candidates who are actively working towards these goals.
Key Requirements
  • A degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
  • Around 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering complex, high-voltage grid connection projects—ideally across design, build, and commissioning phases
  • A strong focus on health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ)
