Are you a power systems expert seeking a challenging role where you can utilize your technical knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in the field? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Power Systems Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.
This is a high-voltage connection specialist position that requires extensive experience in designing, building, and commissioning complex grid connection projects. As a Lead / Principal Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence across a range of power system studies using advanced tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim.
- We're looking for someone with expertise in end-to-end grid connection processes, who can guide the technical delivery of complex studies and ensure seamless integration with the grid.
- A strong understanding of generator performance standards and Schedule 5 of the NER is essential for this role.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ). If you have a passion for power systems and a desire to lead, mentor, and make a real impact in the renewable energy space, we would love to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics;
- At least 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering complex, high-voltage grid connection projects - ideally across design, build, and commissioning phases;
- A strong focus on HSEQ, with a knack for inspiring teams and driving great results commercially and for clients.
