About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to fill a commercial underwriting position. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with brokers and insurers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite complex projects, managing renewal portfolios and expanding product offerings to brokers nationwide
  • Evaluate risks and make informed decisions based on company guidelines, risk appetite, and pricing strategies
  • Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and insurers, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience, focusing on commercial lines
  • Understanding of how to prepare and manage bordereaux reports
  • Licensed and familiar with brokerage operations
  • Professional designations such as CIP, CRM, or FCIP preferred (or actively working toward completion)

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range $80,000 - $115,000 per annum, impacted by factors such as skills, experience and location. Benefits include professional development training/courses, collaborative work environment and wellness resources.
