About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Research Partnerships Director to lead our research partnering strategy, driving sustainable growth and impact through collaborative partnerships with industry, government, and not-for-profit organizations. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will develop and implement strategic plans to enhance RMIT's research ecosystem, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in research partnering, translation, and commercialization, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and driving business growth. A deep understanding of global trends and external environmental factors is essential, as well as advanced negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive research partnering strategy, aligned with RMIT's vision and goals.
  • Lead the identification, development, and maintenance of key research partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to inform and implement research strategy, driving increased funding opportunities and economic impact.
  • Maintain and expand existing networks, establishing new relationships with industry, government, and not-for-profit partners.
  • Design and deliver large-scale initiatives, leveraging multiple internal and external partners to drive profound impact and benefit the broader community.

What We Offer

RMIT offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 AUD per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including generous leave entitlements, professional development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge research infrastructure.
